Emirates 100: Stats from a century of games
The visit of Stoke on Saturday marks a milestone for Emirates Stadium. The game will be the 100th competitive Arsenal first-team fixture played at the ground.
The Gunners had an impressive record at Highbury, losing just 17 per cent of 2,010 competitive games played there. But at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal have been even more formidable.
Arsène Wenger's side have lost just six per cent of games since moving to Emirates Stadium, scoring an average of 2.17 goals per game while conceding an average of just 0.66 goals in each fixture.
In all competitions the Gunners have won 69 of the 99 games played at Emirates Stadium to date, scoring 215 goals along the way. And seven of those strikes came in one match.
Arsenal's all-time record home victory in European competitions came on October 23, 2007. The Gunners hit seven past Slavia Prague in the Champions League Group Stage that night without their defence being breached.
Another Club record achieved at Emirates Stadium is the highest Premier League attendance; 60,161 turned up to watch William Gallas strike an injury-time equaliser and secure a 2-2 draw against Manchester United on November 3, 2007.
The Bettorlogic form lab also gives some interesting statistics about Arsenal's performances at Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have scored in over 90 per cent of home Premier League games since leaving Highbury, failing to score in just 9.5 per cent of such fixtures.
The defensive record is also good. Arsenal have kept clean sheets in over half of their 99 games played so far at Emirates Stadium
Wenger's side are renowned for their attacking football and the stats show that of Arsenal's 69 victories at Emirates Stadium, 47.5 per cent have been won by two or more goals. The Gunners have also won more home games by three or more goals than any other Premier League side since the start of the 2006/07 season; 27.3 per cent of victories have been by a three-goal margin.
In cup competitions Arsenal have so far been unbeatable at home since leaving Highbury and have only lost one of their 22 European games played at Emirates Stadium.
Finally, the Gunners have lost just one of 47 games in which they have taken the lead at Emirates Stadium. Wenger's side might be best known for their attacking style but they also know how to protect a lead.
