Zat Knight Leaves Aston Villa To Join Bolton Wanderers - Report
Zat Knight is believed to have completed a move from Aston Villa to Bolton Wanderers.
The defender has been targeted by Wanderers manager Gary Megson this summer and the Trotters boss is understood to have got his man in a £4 million deal, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror is suggesting Knight even left Villa's training camp in Spain to fly back to England and agree personal terms at the Reebok Stadium, only to then jet to the Netherlands to join up with the Bolton's pre-season training camp.
There is no official word on the transfer yet, though Villa boss Martin O'Neill was thought to be willing to let Knight leave the club, but only after he had found a replacement for retiring Danish stopper Martin Laursen.
O'Neill is yet to announce the signing of a new defender, but could already have allowed Knight to depart.
Meanwhile, Megson has been busy this summer, signing Sean Davis from Portsmouth, as well as West Bromwich Albion left-back Paul Robinson on a season-long loan.
